How to create breakoutrooms before the meetings (YES! The update has finally arrived.)
What do you need to do first? Go to your calendar and find your meeting and edit it.
Then, as the picture shows, we have a new tab, Breakout rooms. Let’s click it and create our rooms.
First, of we need the room/s. How many, the choice is yours.
And you can choose if you want to create the rooms automatically or manually.
In manual mode, just choose the persons and which room do you want them to go.
This is how it looks when the rooms are ready and my test subject is in Room 2. Here you can edit rooms, create new rooms, delete rooms and re-arrange the rooms, the gear is the settings of course.
The settings part is pretty familiar. Choose the presenters (you’ll need to choose on the meeting settings page who can present, etc.) Set time limit. Choose if you want to move participants to rooms automatically and if they can return to the main meeting.
And last but not least, you can recreate rooms as normal. On the upper picture, the + sign is for adding rooms, trash can is for deleting, and the gear is settings.
